Franchise Opportunities In India

Franchised operations in India are increasing by the day. Being geographically vast and culturally diverse, India offers the most favorable franchising environment. While companies benefit by having many profit making outlets in different parts of the country, franchisees in India benefit by being able to generate good returns with little investment and risk involved. Entrepreneurs are making the most of India’s franchising market and growing economy by becoming successful franchisees. Indian franchisees can now choose from a plethora of international as well as domestic franchising companies. There are numerous attractive franchising options available in various sectors.

Ever since the franchising boom in the nineties, there have been many success stories. Franchisees in India helped many businesses grow and establish, while also gaining immensely from their business ventures. Examples of international franchises that have been successful in India include food and beverages giants such as Subway, Mc Donald’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken among others. Indian companies that have benefited from franchising include names such as Barista, MRF, NIIT and Apollo hospitals among others. It’s not just the bigger companies; smaller international and domestic companies also look for franchisees in India. The capital required for such ventures would be smaller when compared to highly reputed companies. The downside however, is that the risks are more, since you cannot ride on the popularity wave generated by the reputed companies.

Depending on your choice of business, you can either work from home or from an outside location. The initial capital you may require to start a franchising venture will depend on the type of business and the franchisor’s requirements. Most home-based franchise options are suited for work-at-home women. Cosmetics, healthcare products, services, home business household products and e-commerce ventures, make for convenient yet rewarding franchising options. Franchisors provide training and support and your business can gain from the image and professionalism of the franchising company.

The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Franchising

Putting up our very own company or business requires so much time and effort. Building your own company from scratch is hard; so many people go for franchising instead. Franchising a business has its own benefits and drawbacks.

Benefits of a Franchise

Less Start-Up Problem.
A franchise is defined to be a turn-key business. When you franchise a business, the owner will be responsible for all of your marketing strategies and logo. Your products and suppliers are already defined, with pricing already in place. Franchises normally have a software package for product sales and data processing.

Training and Support.
Most franchises require you to fly to their corporate headquarters for a few weeks of training on all aspects of the company. Youll learn about everything from product preparation to bookkeeping practices. If youre a novice to the business world or lack a business record, a franchise is actually a good fit.

Brand recognition.
Whenever you join a franchise, youre registering with a business that is already firmly established in the market. Youll reduce costs time and expense convincing customers that your product is great-they undoubtedly recognize the brand.

Fast Turnaround.
If youre chomping at the bit to start your brand-new store, a franchise could be the solution. Because franchises offer you all the tools you may need for your organization, you can open far more quickly than if you had to figure it all out on your own.

Disadvantages of a Franchise

Numerous rules.
Firms that offer franchises set up typical practices for their business, and they expect you to closely follow a strict set of guidelines. If you dont like the thought of somebody else dictating the way your company runs, a franchise is not for you.

Price.
Fees vary extensively, but you should intend on investing in the brand recognition and groundwork that youre getting when you buy into a franchise. Most franchises call for an initial start-up fee. Soon after, youll assume responsibility to pay the franchise a percentage of your sales. If youre ready to pay fees and royalties for the convenience, a franchise is a great move. However, if you wish to start your business on a shoestring, franchises arent for you.

The franchise determines the culture.
Each and every business has a certain personality-and a particular set of company ideals. Before signing on with a franchise, be sure that your values and personality get in line with the companys-otherwise you may find yourself feeling stifled or upset.

Their very own status is your standing.
This can work either way. You will get brand recognition with a franchise, but this can actually turn towards you if the business makes national statements for shady business procedures. Even when you might not be directly involved, their brand is on your own door.

Typical Defects of Ductile Iron Castings

The following typical defects of ductile iron castings are based on the experiences of process engineers from Dandong Foundry in China. We hope these information could be helpful for other iron foundries and casting buyers.

1. abnormal and degraded nodularizing

If the ductile iron castings have defects of abnormal and degraded nodularizing, the fracture surfaces will show the grey color with the small black particles. There will be large amount of flaky graphite in the microstructure.
It is mainly because the too much sulphur in melted iron, or other anti-nodularizing elements. So, we suggest to use the low sulphur coal, or use the desulphite treatment. If necessary, please try to add more nodularizing agents.

2. shrinkage holes and porosity

Shrinkage holes show the concaved surfaces, and the inside surfaces of shrinkage holes are very rough. Shrinkage porosity shows many dendritic small holes.
These defects are because of low content of carbon and silicon, too much sulphur.
Using hard molding, such as resin sand casting process. Increasing the content of Si and C.

3. graphite floatation

This defect is usually happen at the end of castings, especially at the gating head. You could see many graphite balls gathering together.
This defect is because of high content of carbon and silicon, and too much residues of nodularzing agents.
The solving method is reducing the content of C and Si, and control the nodularzing agents.

4. inverse chill

This defect will show the clear white blocks on the surfaces of fractures. Some are just like the white shiny needles.
The reason is the too quick cooling for some positions, or insufficient nodularizing.
So, the foundries need to control the usage of nodularizing agents, not too much. At the same time, enhance the temperature of pouring.

5. slag inclusion

Slag inclusion will show the inclusion with dark color and different shapes on the surfaces of fractures. From macrostructures, you could see the obvious inclusion.
One reason is because of too much sulphur in the melted iron. Another reason is too much magnesium residues.
So, iron foundry needs to reduce the content of sulphur in the pig iron, and try to reduce the residues of magnesium, and set the more gating heads at the positions of easy slag inclusion.

6. deformation and cracks

When the shrinkage stress becomes higher than resistance to deformation, then there will be deformation or even cracks to ductile iron castings. The hot cracks are brown, and cold cracks are light yellow.
The main reasons are low content of carbon, insufficient nodularizing and too quick cooling.
So, you need to increase the content of carbon and silicon, reduce the content of sulphur and improve the nodularizing.
